I feel compelled to share a humorous moment that I had when I talked to my friend, Debbie, this past Sunday, November 13, 2016. Back in 1998, Debbie was kind enough to read my 800 page memoir-type manuscript that I spent 7 1/2 months writing in 1993.
During my phone conversation on Sunday, I told Debbie that I have told my daughter, Holly, that I call my manuscript is "A Playbook on How to Get a Disability Retirement (at age 36 in 1990)."
Debbie replied, "Yeah, a psychiatrist would say, 'Wow, there's a lot of people in this area coming down with this.'"
I told Debbie, "All he'd have to do is read the New York Times Bestseller List," leading both of us to laughing very hard!
